Manual therapy is a special form of examination and therapy that tries to identify the cause of a problem by use of passive techniques and to remedy it afterwards. It uses a holistic approach
(biocypernetic concept), because complaints can not only have local, but also segmental, orthostatic or visceral causes.
In order to ensure a long-term success of the therapy, the exact cause must be identified and remedied. Thus, a recurrence of the problem can be prevented.
